Oxy Petroleum is a petrochemical manufacturer headquartered in Houston, Tx.  We were contracted to build a Class I Div I, explosion proof freezer and loading dock to store Organic Peroxide, which they use as a catalyst.  Organic Peroxide is a chemical that will self-ignite as the chemical’s temperature approaches ambient temperatures. Coming up with a reliable system was of utmost importance.  Our refrigeration design included stainless-steel piping, a complete control and monitoring system, three condensing units for the freezer and two condensing units for the loading dock, yielding complete redundancy, ensuring safe and reliable storage.
