The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), selected RWC, to design and construct a cooler to preserve the film from the Apollo space missions for a duration of 500 years.  We were tasked with building a freezer to run 15°F at 35% humidity precisely, and a cooler to run 35°F.  Our refrigeration design included stainless-steel freezer panels and three separate systems for added redundancy, insuring reliable storage conditions for a very long period of time.
